Hey ht I'm trying to remove the drivers side axle on a 94 accord. i removed the passenger side axle with no problems using an 8 in pry bar very lightly. I'm trying to do the same with this axle connected to the half shaft but am having no luck I've tryed 2 pry bars on oppisite sides.

I'm at a loss on what to do any help is appreciated !

Use a pry bar and apply moderate pressure. Take a hammer and sharply hit the CV joint housing from behind (the transmission end). It should pop right out. If not, just keep trying until you get it. It seems impossible until you figure out how to do it, and then it's actually quite easy!

also try spinning it and hitting it in diff spot. Sometimes you just gotta find the sweet spot.

All I can say is keep at it. It'll feel like it'll never work and then -- pop -- you're done, super easy. Once you've done it a few times you get a feel for it.
