Installing a Tachometer on Si
Im about to get either an 07 si sedan, or an 06 si coupe. I have gauges that I took out of my last car and I was wondering how I would hook up the tachometer. I heard that you can't for some reason. But im really not sure, can anyone help?
im not that ******* stupid, i think i know that. in my last car my tach didn't work so i bought a glowshift tach gauge, i dont want to waste the money, so i just want to know how to hook it up. in my mustang(my last car), there was a tachometer output wire to hook it up to. However, i havent heard anything about there being one in a si. so can you at least answer that?

Ill entertain this. (regardless of how useless it may be) But there IS in fact a tach output from the pcm striaght to the eps control unit. Its connector D pin#3 solid blue wire(biggest connector @ the eps ecu) and connector A pin#28 @ the pcm. It gives the same pulse width as even the older cars (civic b16 integra b18xx) in the dizzy. The reason there is no dedicated wire from the pcm to the gauge control module, is because fcan carries all data from the pcm to your gauge module. Enjoy!
