pivot aftermarket tach...detachable and portable?
can you disconnect and reconnect an after market tach to keep it from getting stolen and to keep the stock interior sleeper look?
only plug it in when youre driving and take it out when you leave.

yes you can by gettin the correct connectors. these are quick disconnect connecters. notice one female and one male connector.
but honestly if ur driving a honda, guage clusters are pretty interchangeable, you can get a stock tach and avoid the hassle of having to remove a big ole tach everytime.

pivot tachs use a big harness wire but if you decide you want to split it in the middle and add connectors i guess you could say it will work. pivot tachs usually have a separate controller box that goes to the tach also

Dang...pretty soon people will have removable steering wheel, tachs, shifters, etc.
Better design a back pack so you can carry all the stuff around!
I think you'd be able to get a nice connector at a electronics shop that would be better than spade connectors. Those aren't so hot for constantly connecting and disconnecting.

Regardless if you have a tach or not, your car can and will get stolen. Do you think a thief steals a car because it has a $100 tach in it? You have something else coming man...

no but i think a thief will steal a car if it has an after market tach in it without the stock tach. no reason to run a tach in a "tachless" car if theres no reason.

Re: (=GAME=)
the way i see it is if you see a stock looking eg cx and you see a tach inside, there must be a reason for it like an engine swap. thats what i dont want. so detaching the tach would help. its not that big anyway
