That's way to thick. Just stick to the oem stuff.

I run redline MTL and it works very well, OE fluid started to cause notchy shifts within 2000ish miles...

Stay with OEM, is not expansive , you can buy trough http://www.hondapartsdeals.com/ or go to local diler.
After some sort of problem I go with Amsoil MTF but some say at 8th gen civic forum that is gonna to damage gear box, for me work fine. In the case you can found OEM honda recommends on short period 10W-30 or 10W-40 engine oil, personaly in my old 6th gen civic always run with 10W40 engine oil and regularly maintenance with out problem.

Yeah, I know what is problem to you, oil weight viscosity. Amsoil is marked like 5W30 or 10W30 and Redline is conventional gear oil mark 75W90 , it's same viscosity, you can found that at Redline web different is because of some additives and different way of testing and use, wiki --> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gear_oil
there is many discussion about that (brand) at 8th gen civic forum and after long time I'm again at Amsoil web and Redline, see different, think that Amsoil is 10W but now is 5W weight and Redline is not more recommends for Honda gear box.
Big question now , like you can see is , Amsoil say " Replaces Honda Genuine MTF fluid for manual transaxles" and then say " Not for use in engines, hypoid rear axles, limited-slip or wet-clutch applications." ?! WTF
Some guy is call Amsoil tech support and got different answer so conclusion is , stay with Honda MTF is cheep and probable not give you on long time any headache, some say is got it better then old Honda MTF.
