Hi All:
One of my next mods to my 2009 Grey Ghost V-6 / 6MT will be the suspension. Any of you folks have any experience with the Honda Factory Performance (HFP) Sport Suspension? As it is made by Honda for these cars, gotta believe they will be more user friendly as opposed to some of the aftermarket setups. I am most concerned with the tire wear on my expensive Michelin Pilot Super Sports gumballs with the changes in toe-out and camber inherent with this installation. Also, sway bars would be looked at and have seen on some threads that the Acura TL's would work on the Accord. Wonder how they would compare with an aftermarket setup like those found on Throwdown Performance.

my friend used A-SPEC suspension (Acura's equivalent to HFP) on his 07 RL and it is a very subtle drop.
Honda recommends you have HFP items like that installed at the dealer because of the warranty. Dealers always perform an alignment after most suspension work anyhow. Acura TL RSB's do work on your chassis Accord. I have a 04-09 TL 6MT RSB on my 02 Accord.
However, HFP parts are expensive, as labor is too.
what are you height goals, and budget?

My only other anticipated mods would be sway bars and bushings as well as an upgrade to a nice Touchscreen Audio Head Unit such as the new Alpine or JVC for which I have a good outlet as well.
haha sounds good then. seems like you got it all figured out. Then I say, go for it.
post some pictures. If you wanna keep everything to OEM upgrades then i say get the TL front and rear sway bar with Moog or OEM endlinks, and all the other neccesary bushings and hardware.

Yeah, I already heard about the TL conversion from another Accord and Acura Forum and that might be a good way to go and still try and keep the ride from being teeth breaking. As I mentioned before, Throwdown Performance has some pretty nice kits which even cover the transverse brace in the engine bay, but not sure if the extra cost would warrant it. Guess I will have to think about that one, but obviously, I have not been afraid to spend money so far...
just looked at all the pics. Car probably pulls nice with the work done. I havent seen anyone use Jet products in a LONG time. are you satisfied with it?
the GReddy SE exhaust looks and probably sounds great.
i think the HFP suspension will suit your needs quite fine. it seems like the direction youre going with with this car.

The Greddy's already were sounding great, but with the RV6 Hi-Flow Pre-Cat manifolds and extended J-Pipe sans rear cat, it now sounds absolutely menacing.
And yes, I will probably go with the Honda designed HFP sport suspension upgrade as it was meant for this car. Just hope the camber and toe settings don't chew up my Michelin Pilot Super Sport gumballs!!

dont worry about the camber. as far as toe, that can be adjusted in the alignment that you will get if Honda installs the parts.
