Recently purchased a 2007-model Accord sedan. Whilst I realize that a sportier suspension is one of its selling points (compared to say, Camry), I personally prefer a smoother more luxurious ride...

The Accord I have is the VTi-L (luxury edition, available in Australian market), with leather/electric drivers seat, etc. - as it's "luxury" I was kinda hoping it would have a softer suspension by default...

(From what I gather, the Australian Accord is more or less based on the North American Accord)

Anyhow, compared to my old 1990 Accord sedan, which had a silky smooth suspension, the 2007 Accord's suspension is rather coarse by comparison.

So here is my question - can the suspension of the 2007 Accord be tuned to give a smoother, less bumpy ride? Does this entail just a few simple adjustments, or is there more involved to it? Would a Honda service centre be willing to make these adjustments?

How would a smoother suspension affect other characteristics of the car like road holding, etc.?

I drive conservatively and given a choice between comfort and performance I prefer comfort...

No, they dont have any adjustments. (at least over here) You could adjust your tire pressures down a little to smooth the ride out a bit.
