p06 ecu running vtec
my hatch has a d15b2 block with z6 head. it came with a p06 ecu in it which i know is a non-vtec ecu. i believe my vtech is working but am not sure how they would have done that. i want to buy a p28. would that be best. planning on turboing it so would i be best off buying a p28 with hondata already hooked up?
thanks in advance
thanks in advance
It is possible to convert a p06 engine computer to a p28 spec engine computer and they will perform the same.
Your best bet is to open the ecu you have now, snap a picture & post it on the forum or email it to us for identification.
Concerning engine management for a turbo application:
If your ecu is already socketed & chipped you can use the ecu you have now & simply have the car tuned using a chip based tuning software like neptune, ectune, hondata s100 etc.
If you want more of an advanced system you could look into neptune rtp or hondata s300 etc.
