Default Very small track injury at Gingerman...

So after the last session, I packed up my car and check the oil level to get ready for the ride home. I pull the dipstick and notice that the tube that holds the dipstick (i.e., the dipstick t00b) is very loose! If it were able to (there's obviouly obstructions like the block and the header pipes), the tube could swing around 360 degrees. BrewcityR, mugenMike, myself and a few others checked it out and didn't find anything in the helm's pertaining to how the tube is tightened in there. It was getting dark and I had a nice 3 hour ride home, so I departed and stayed below 5k on the way home.

Before I take it to the shop to take a look at it.... any thoughts on how that might have happened? If that's the worst thing that happened to my car after its first day at gingerman, I'll take it. It doesn't look like I could fix it, though. Anyone ever have this happen to them??

Cliff Notes: Track noob stays on the track all day (out of the grass), does pretty well and now has a loose t00b.

Search using the word "t00b" in this forum - Willard had a l00se t00b and successfully repaired it with Hondabond.

[edit] Nebber mind. Found it for j00! Clicky! [/edit]

I used JB Weld to fix mine. Sounds redneck, but it worked.

I used HondaBond too, and it worked up until I tracked my car. Then it was leaking like crazy and I lost one quart out of the base of the tube during the course of the day. I just JBWelded a couple weeks ago, but I won't find out if it worked until I hit the track next year.
