Integra "bug eyes" question (HID related)
I have stock bulbs in my teg and would like to upgrade to hids(for looks). there's 4 bulbs total unlike when i put hids in my civic it was just 2 H4's plain and simple. i've seen integras with just 2 hids i'd like all 4 to be fitted with hids is it possible. if not im sticking with stocks thier very bright but i like hids better. and are all 4 bulbs 9004(pls correct me if im wrong) it's a 94 DC2

I think the reason most people don't run HIDs on the brights is that they are slow to warm up. Since most people take their brights on and off fairly often when they are using them, HIDs are not ideal. Theoretically of course there is no reason you can't use them. Not sure about projectors.
You can also retrofit bi-xenon bulbs, but that will mean you wouldn't use the stock high beam projectors.
Whatever you do make sure you do a proper retrofit. HIDs illuminate worse than stock in stock projectors and they blind everybody.

im horrible with wiring witch is why i was just hoping for "drop in" for all 4 but i've never seen it. im going to see if i can keep the brights stock. and do the low/DTRL's HID pretty sure i've seen that before.
Personally I don't see a need for high-beam HIDs, but I drive on relatively high-traffic roads where it's discourteous to approach another car head on wih your high beams on hehe

I thought it would be cool too so I looked into it a while back. Just not very practical unfortunately :/
Unless maybe you retrofitted a bi-xenon on your regular headlight and added low-intensity driving lights (also retrofitted) to the spot your high beams used to live. Then you'd have both lights on all the time, and bi-xenon highs when you flicked the high beam switch. Would require some know-how though.

i have a silly question, if i had hid's, and wanted better lighting at night, because who wouldnt, its horrible; all i would need is to retro fit some projector housing and the lens correct. im gonna scour the pick n pull next time i go for headlights, im thinking any type of hid projector would probably do the trick with a little finagling. maximas with hids would be the e55 retrofit people talk about, but could possibly find a tsx/some other car with hid projectors? i feel like i gave myself the answer but please humor me.

i edited it, i should have said i have a silly question. but this thread gave me the asnwer, thanks for starting it.
edit here now: still want to know if that ebay link is probably all we would need if we had hid's already.

oh alright. you should be just fine with the projector housing no needing to buy an addtinal shround. there should be a write up somewhere.
so shroud obviously isnt the same thing as the projector housing, i thought so but for some reason i wanted confirmation. and yea there are a bunch of write ups on team-integra. i personally am a fan of the yellow high-beam look; it looks like you got that already.
projector housings are like 100$ for tegs, so cheapest option, spotting one at my local pick n pull, and HULK SMASHHH

looks like there is a plug n play option for all 4 bulbs hi/lo to be HID. figured i'd post it up incase someone stumbles on this thred in the near future.
