M24A (auto) tranny won't fit D15B7
Short story, my 93 DX has a stock D15B7 with a bad tranny.
Today a friend tried to swap the tranny with one I bought from Jspec, an M24A.
It won't mount up. He said the mounting holes are slightly different... I thought all D series trannys were interchangeable? What kind tranny should I be looking for then?

Here's a link to an auction of theirs, same place I bought mine. Why wouldn't this mate with a stock d15b7? Is it possible the one I got is from a dohc zc?

Some JDM B16A automatics were labeled M24A as well and obviously wont bolt up.
The one in the auction would have worked. Remember that the EX version of the M24A, and A24A has a higher OD gear than the DX/LX version, so the RPM on the highway will be lower with an EX trans, but it will have less power and have to drop down a gear more often.
