Default Steering wheel swap?

So the wheel in my del sol is showing it's age. I would like to retain the air bag. Obviously I could find another same year civic wheel. But so far all the ones I've come across have been as worn as mine.

I read the FAQ which shows which wheels are 29 spline.

But it's not clear if the airbag would be compatible. For example there is a 94 integra wheel in the market place would that work with my airbag?

Any other good fits?

As long as the air bag isn't a dual stage system, it'll work just fine.

If I understand correctly, Honda intorduced the dual stage in 98.

I was planning on using my airbag so I was thinking there could be a connector difference for the dual stage.

I don't know the exact year, but it was definitely later than '98. It was about halfway through the AP2.

IIRC, the rsx had dual stage, and that came out in 02, and i think the ep3 has dual stage also, could be wrong though. but I'm almost positive the rsx has dual stage. And i think some ap1s have them as well.

I found a Honda press release mentioning their introduction of a "two stage" air bag in 98. Thus the date I mentioned. However it made no mention of what markets or models it was introduced on.

I went with a 94 Integra wheel and my air bag module.

Can't figure out why you can buy "Integra" steering wheels for $25 on Ebay. But the same part listed as "Civic" will run nearly double.

This is wrong. Like I've already said, AP1's and first gen AP2's have single stage air bags.

Glad you found something that works for you, OP.
