If the word you were after was synchros, think again. It's never just the synchros. You can almost always count on a worn sleeve as well, and often worn hub and engagement teeth on the gear itself.
If every gear is grinding, check the clutch system (master and slave cylinders, clutch itself). If that is all good expect at least $1,000 to repair it (new OEM parts and labor).
