Default Bearing ***** & inner race of CV joint

Hi,

Does anyone know the size of the bearing ***** in the outer
CV joints or a source for the inner bearing race?

THanks

No, and you can't get the inner race. CV joints aren't really a user serviceable item. Aftermarket axles are very reasonably priced, if that seems like more than you want to spend aftermarket CV joints are available.

Can you provide a source for the CV joint? The only source
I've found is Honda at 175$. Not available at Rock Auto for
96 Civic. Already have a new axle but want to re-build the
old one.

There is an excellent vid at youtube that demonstrates how to
rebuild the CV joint from what amnts to the ground up.
All one needs is a brass punch.

ebay. Expect the quality to be suspect.

You can buy a complete aftermarket fenco axle for about $90 though. At that price it's really not worth rebuilding the old one.

autozone has reman axles for 50 bucks.

Rock Auto has them too.

those shafts are used on a lot of cars.

Do you want to change only one end of the shaft?
