Default Stock oil cooler on 95 GSR block

I was looking at a 95 GSR block and I noticed they had a stock oil cooler and on the later models it is no longer there. Is it possible to remove the oil cooler from a 94-96 block and installing it onto to a 97+ GSR block ?

It certainly is. That is what I did with my spare block that is in my car now, while my original block gets resleeved.

BTW, whats this got to do with an ITR or the ITR forum (just saying it before someone else does)

Just because the ITR and the later GSRs do not have the oil cooler and the older GSR did.

canuck-mx6, What did you need to do add the oil cooler ?
From lookijng at it it looked like I would have to just add the oil cooler collar and the coolant lines. Is that what you had to do ?

Also, where did you get the parts from ?

after you find out how much it costs... you will not want to know the part number.

The B17As also had them too!

I was pleasantly surprised to rediscover these "spare" parts on my 17A when the 18C block I purchased didnt even come with the main water pipe...!

Bump.
I will be ordering the nipple and the pipe so i can install this.
But according to acuraautomotiveparts.net
the number you said, 19505-PR3-000 - water pipe(has extra nipple for water line), is from a type R, and only has 2 nipples...just like my gsr does. Keep in mind the gsr has a different Intake M. so there is anohter line going to it. I would need the pipe with 3 nipples...Should I call acuraautomotiveparts when i place the order and tell them which one to send?

I just happen to have everything you'd need to install this, the cooler, the bolt, the water pipe, the hoses, the nipple, everything. someone give me 125 shipped and it is gone. BTW, its from a 00 ITR, if that matters.

Where would the Oil Cooler Joint(11108-PR3-010 ) go into the block on a jdm obd2 b18c block. Is it on the direct right of the oil cooler, am I supposed to have a empty port for this Joint.
http://www.acuraoemparts.com/d...ch=no
Also the fitting that holds the oil cooler into the block is easily removable? I already have all the parts on my 94 obd1 gsr block but thats in my car and im trying to do the most I can to this obd2 block before hand.

Based upon the Helms 96-00 Civic manuel, the 99-00 Si's have them too.

I've crawled under plenty of 99/00 B16A Civics.... (SiR)

But no American Si..... in Canada, our SiRs certainly did NOT receive the oil cooler....

I can't verify it either, just saying what is listed in the Helms shop manual.
