130 amp versus 165 amp ALTERNATORS - need help making choice
So I'm gonna upgrade my electrical system step by step this spring/summer.
I'm looking at 2 alternators on ebay. A 130 amp from bnrparts and a 165 amp from HI-AMP ALTERNATORS. I'm only only gonna be powering my 1000 watt 200 rms x 2 subwoofer amp & my 600 watt 4 channel amp, also 2 led footwell strips. My subs are 300 rms each.
I'll be getting a optima yellow & a 2 farad cap when I can. Does anyone have experience with any of those alternators I mentioned?
And which would you choose if any? Ones $90 and the other $140... Since I'm not pulling that much power would the 130 be good?

it's not so much the $50.00. it's about which one to trust more in terms of the seller. In other words I don't want to buy a overrated one. That's why i asked if anyone had experience with those specific brands.
just remember your buying Chinese alternators and I hope they last longer than 2 months
you'd probably be better off getting one for slightly more at the parts store that comes with a lifetime warranty for when it will explode on you

Then contact people that have bought from them instead of the slim chance someone here might have. Is a warranty offered by both sellers? Negative feedback indicate any failures? I'm running with a 165 amp alternator I got off of Ebay 5 years ago and it's still going strong.
And these don't indicate these are Chinese made by any means. Just rewound and rebuilt to handle higher amperage.
Edit. I would go with the first seller. He's been on Ebay since 2002 with good feedback. That's hard to do unless he was legit and sold quality merchandise. This might even be the same seller I bought from now that I think about it. Go figure.
