i have a 98 civic dx hatch and my clutch has been acting up recently. theres been way too much free play in the pedal for some reason. so i tried adjusting the rod that connects to master cylinder but it didnt help. i also checked for leaks and found nothing and i replaced the slave cylinder a couple of months ago. so is it the master cylinder?

any help would be appreciated thanks..

 

Did you properly bleed the line when you replaced the slave cylinder?

 

yes the clutch felt fine after the replacement. just to make sure im going to bleed it again

 

You messed with the clutch pedal height adjustment. After you fix your current problem, you need to re-adjust the pedal height as per the service manual to avoid burning up your clutch.

 

seems like the master cylinder was the problem my clutch is fine once again.. i dont have a manual so how much free play is the clutch pedal suppose to have?
