I have run a vin number in which there is no information before 1995. the vehicle is a 1989. it was imported from germany in 1996. no miles were reported until 1998 with reported 70000 miles at this time. its a LHD vehicle with I believe a d16a6 head. the block im not sure. I know the head is not original. the block i will find out what it is. an ed9 but not imported from the beginning to the states. Has anyone heard about something like this ? made in japan vin number.

 

i am pretty sure someone just imported it for personal use. mystery solved. its a d16a6 in there. nothing special.
