Default trouble with dsm blue-tops

I cant seem to get the idle right. these things are finicky as hell!

engine is a mini me (a6/y8) with a couple bolt-ons. I've managed to smooth out the afr's to ~14.5 at idle, but once the car is warmed up it doesn't like to idle. Like, coming to a stop and the revs fall, they just fall too far haha.

How much timing can I add in the idle portion? im at 19* right now. does someone know of a website that outlines the correct procedure for tuning the idle?

What software are you using?

Did you set up your injector offset and the injector battery offsets before you started making any adjustments to the main fuel tables?

Are you running a resistor box or peak and hold injector drivers?

Why did you choose 450cc injectors for this build? Seems like they might be a bit much!

Well running 6psi is a bit more than "a couple of bolt-ons"... Not that it really matters for your idle.

Idle timing is usually lower not higher... you are not under boost and or any sort of engine load. 16-17 is what I usually aim for in those areas/cells....

Stop tuning your idle when it hasn't warmed up yet. If it's too rich when it's cold, lower the temp compensation for that range. Make sure your target AFR is the same in all achievable cells in the idle range. If you're choking on decel, add more IACV duty cycle, or back the idle screw out a little. any repair manual explains base timing calibration.

awesome info. thank you! i've since taken the turbo off and am sourcing some stock injectors.
