Hey, So I recently got myself a EG8 Project car as a non runner.
To make it work kind of so far all i have done is change the starter motor & battery, Checked & cleaned all earth cables & checked the timing, After a while of it ticking over the car will like kind of splutter but keeps idling, as soon as you touch the Accelerator the car cuts out and refuses to start till the next day, when I try to turn it over it wants to go but wont, yesterday it backfired.
Im kind of stumped after the ECU tells me nothing.
Any ideas ?

So you have no CEL's? Have you checked timing? Compression test? Block test? Do you have any history information on the car?

 

Check the timing. Do a full tune up.

 

No CELs atall, The timing been checked and changed, not done a compression test as of yet its rather hard to once the car is dead have to wait another day or two, The block is fine, The cars been around my circle of friends for a while thats all i know.

 

Sorry for the double post but i had the car running, turned it off and then this happened.


Now it wont start for about 6-8 hours
Ill proceed to do the Coils, Distributor, HT Leads ect again.... Ive had it Running but this happens all the time -.-.

 

I can't see your video, but some things looks strange...What country are you from?
