[D15B2] Belt Skipped a Tooth? (Pictures)
I've Gotten CEL8 and from research on the web i found out that its possible that 1 tooth has skipped / distributor is broken.
So i opened the top and removed the upper timing belt cover, crank pulley @ tdc (picture 1) and watched the other ones (rest) and i cant find out if it has skipped a tooth or not.
I't look like the right and the arrow would be in position if i change 1 tooth? but i dont know for sure, i made some pictures and hope you guys can help me find out.
TDC @ Crank Pulley (Picture made little bit off so you can see the 2 marks upper arrow and the gap)

Question TDC (the left seems to much downside, the right seems a little bit off and the underarrow also seem a little bit off, is this 1 tooth?)

Detail picture left side

Detail picture right side

Thanks in advance

Even with the camera angle, it looks like you don't have the crank at tdc. It seems too close to be off a tooth. If the crank is truly at tdc the cam gear should line up perfectly. It's either dead on or obviously off. Recheck the crank and look straight down the notch to make sure. Then if the cam is off you will know
how did u get ur crank pulley off? im having problems getting mine off im using a breaker bar and bracing it with a screwdriver but no matter how hard I try I cant break it free. I know most Hondas require the harmonic imbalance tool but I know for a fact the d15b2 cant use one due to the fact that it doesn't have the hexagonal shape on the inner of the pulley. anyways ur advice would be much appreciated thanks
Take it to a shop, jack it up and remove the wheel and ask if they can use their rattle gun to zap it loose for you. Might cost you a little bit of cash for their 5 minutes, but it'll be worth it.
Just make sure you get it done up tight enough that it wont fall off, but loose enough that you can get it off when you get home. Also i found that bracing the motor at the flywheel gives you far better leverage.

When I took off my crank bolt I stuck a screwdriver in one of the pully holes and it jammed against the frame and got a big breaker bar on the bolt and are you turning the motor so the slack is on the exhaust side of the motor to check timing?
i'm having a hard time taking my crank pulley off also. i have the engine down to the block out of the car and it's a real ball buster. i'm about to go to a shop and get them to air gun it off.
i've seen people (on youtube) put a breaker bar and socket onto the nut, jam the bar into any given crevice, then use the starter (if you have a manual) and gingerly start the car to break the crank pulley bolt free.
