Garage, good alarm, and read this advice; https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-civic-del-sol-1992-2000-1/building-your-dream-car-101-a-3102979/

Are those "club" steering wheel locks any good?

Oh, I used to unscrew my main fuse under my hood every night, and take it inside my house, but that won't stop a tow, lol.

Print a label and stick it on the cluster that says "Smile your on camera" (; and put a HELLA NOTICEABLE cheap *** camera on your driveway lol and a few hidden ones just in case they break the obvious one.

Yeah, actually if you don't garage it, a security cam tied to a computer running all the time is probably a good idea. Just make sure it actually picks up sht clearly, and isn't cheap as f---. Motion enabled filming, etc. But, that won't help if they wear a hoodie and ski mask, lol

The best bet is always having it garaged.

If you're leaving it in the city, while you're at a game for say, there are a few methods that I would suggest.

Killswitch - Install a killswitch thats hooked up to disable the fuel to the engine. I'd recommend finding a few good hiding spots for the switch as well.

Car alarms - Are nice, but a lot of people don't pay too much attention to them any more.

Wheel locks - You can buy some that are difficult for theives to cut.

If you're parked in a parking lot full of cars, turn your wheel all the way and make sure the wheel locks into position. So if they try to tow it, it wont back out straight. (or makes it more difficult for it to do so)

There are many methods for anti-theft, but if anyone really wanted your car (and is good at stealing cars) there isn't much you can do. They usually like a fast job, so installing some theft deterrants as I listed above is a help.

Why does NOBODY suggest GPS? None of this will matter at all if a guy comes up in a repo style tow truck and steals your ****. Even pro racers that have 75k-100k in there car STILL don't put a gps. It makes no sense to me. I would put a gps in my car WAYY before i put any kill switches, alarms ect. All that **** does is scare amateur thieves and make a bunch of noise that can be cut off my clipping the battery wire. People need to start suggesting ways to get YOUR CAR BACK instead of nothing but TRYING to prevent it to being taken. Yeah you can make your house a bullet proof military base but what happens when you go to the liquor store? Or walmart? Pretty sure it's much easier to steal there than your house. So i much rather would have ways to GET MY CAR BACK before i have ways to prevent it.

Park your car in a garage with another newer model car in front of the garage.

Get a 2nd car to have as a daily. Never drive your hooked up car unless you can park and see it at all times. I drive my **** only to shows, meets, group rideouts and joy rides.

For me, my car is usually in a garage at home so that is nice. Out and about I have a Viper alarm with paging function, a steering wheel club and a pedal club either for the clutch or brake pedal. A friend put a battery back up siren underneath the dash of his truck. So if the alarm power gets cut the backup siren goes off inside the cabin(I don't think this would be very fun for a car thief). Also, I have been toying with the idea of stashing an old smart phone with GPS inside the car for tracking purposes.

a few flying monkeys should keep it safe, jk lmao but seriously only way to gaurantee a car oont be stolen---dont own one, best would be to garage it, keep it locked at all times, get an alarm with a 2 way pager, a few kill switches well hidden and maybe a few fake ones in obvious places, a steering wheel lock, locks on the pedals, hood and trunk switches for the alarm, and a tilt sensor, if you really want, wheel locks and locking lugnuts, cant think of anything else atm

that just slows the down the amount of time it takes to run 12v and power/ground to them, run a switch on the main relay ground, get a jumper for the ecu harness, rearrange the pins on the harness then change the pins on the one end of the jumper so when the go back to the ecu theyre in the correct order, remove that jumper and short of rewiring the car heres no way to start it
