PLEASE come check out my story and help!!!!
Ok. A few days ago, my CEL popped up and I jumped the code and it came out to be a Code 45 : System Too Lean or Too Rich malfunction in the fuel monitoring systems.
I checked my Fuel settings and here is the info:
Fuel Pressure: 50psi
Narrow Throttle: -5 at 1000rpm
Wide Throttle: -8 at 5000, -14 at 5500, -9 at 6000, -5 at 7000, -5 at 8000
What can be the problem? Is my car running too lean or too rich??

Nope. Not yet, but I will today when I get back home. If the CEL pops up again after that, then I think I'll have to take some action... Maybe lowering the Fuel Pressure or something...
I had the same code from adjusting the VAFC...went a little too far somewhere. I reset the ecu it hasn't retuned. Do you have an AF Guage or EGT? That might help to find where you need to adjust if it doesn't go away.
well... I just resetted my ecu so the CEL is gone. We'll see if it pops back on, and when it does, I'll goto an Acura dealer for them to tell me what the problem is.
By the way, does it cost money for them to check what code it's throwing?

Dont bother. Change the 14% change down a little. Let me disappoint you a little. On an obd2 car the fuel curves will be changed again by the computers long term fuel trim. It checks the history and if its too far lean or rich the fuel maps are automatically leaner or richer to begin with. I have a scan tool that shows fuel trim correction. With my vafc set at -5 everywhere in low and 5-8 in hi, there is a long term fuel correction of -6 percent. The only way for the computer to not change the fuel trim is reset it regualrly throughout the week, or go obd1.
Dont bother having the dealer take your money to tell you that you modified your car.
