Eg hatchback si vs Eg coupe Ex
Better is a relative term. Both cars use the same engine and transmission, same front sway bar. The EX does come with larger front brakes and power windows and locks, the Si hatch does not (the rare '94 Si with ABS does have the larger front brakes though. The Si has rear discs, but the EX does not (except for models with ABS)
There is very little difference between these cars beyond looks, and really everything that is different is pretty easy to swap from one to the other.
Personally I prefer the Si, and that's nearly all based on looks. The coupe just looks like someone took the front half of a hatch and used the back half of a sedan (which is more or less what happened) It's an afterthought of a car.
