Icon2 1994 accord head replacement question

Hey guys i had my timing belt snap while driving down the road going 85 so im pretty sure i need a new head i already bought the timing belt and water pump tomorrow im buying a head for $120 i need to know which head gasket do i need to buy the one big main gasket or the whole set with the main one and all the tiny ones lol any help would be greatly appreciated and please let me know any fluids i will need to buy also

Your head should be fine, but you may have damage to pistons and there is almost a 100% chance you have damage to your rods. You won't need a new head, just do a full head rebuild and carefully inspect all of the piston heads.

When the timing belt broke on my 97 accord i had to replace valves and it had 230,xxx miles on it so i just had the whole head rebuilt. There shouldn't be any damage to the bottom end.

Just buy a head gasket kit with all of the gaskets. Your going to need them anyways

ok thanks ill have the bottom end inspected tomorrow and ill buy the full gasket set ill compare the prices to rebuild vs replace

A rebuild is going to cost more (if you don't personally do it yourself) than buying a used JDM engine
