If you google this problem for 98-2002 accords you will find gobs of info. An awesome mechanic said it was my coil or ignitor. Coil looked fine, replaced the ignitor for $157. These are easy DIY fixes. It still died. Had it diagnosed and it was the fuel relay. I paid $200 for a diagnosis and fix of something I could have done for $60. So, $360 afterwards for a $60 fix. Just to let you know!

This should have posted in the CIVIC section. Unless it is actually an accord.

Check all of your fuses and make sure they are good. Test your relays, check for spark, make sure your getting fuel.

Not really anything else until you give some more information about what exactly is happening example, you can hear the fuel pump running and your not getting spark..

Forgot to mention... my 98 accord would die and restart again anywhere from a few seconds to 20 minutes later. I noticed during the 'dead' time that I couldn't hear the fuel pump cycle when I turned the ignition on. This was the correct diagnosis - the pump was not getting juice but I didn't believe it! When the car dies and won't restart I was told it might be a fuel pump. When these die they die. Mine was restarting - for whatever reason the fuel relay will work again after some period of time. Mine seem to act up when it was extremely hot outside - even though the relay is somewhat in the cabin. Hope this helps.

selbher the reason it wouldn't start was because the solder in the main relay needed to cool down to be able to make a good connection again. When it did it would be able to restart.
