My Impression- Rear Strut Bar Removed
Removed my rear strut bar today after 6+ months of driving with it on
-pot holes, rail road tracks, etc, hurt a whole lot less.
-The rear tire wants to lift of the ground more during tight corners
-On extremely fcked up roads the tires contour to the road better while cornering
shitty ebay strut bar, no its not magical, or enchanted

As for the front strut bar, it improved everything except for going around super fcked up corners(pot holes and corners with crazy angles). It did take away a lot of feeling in the steering wheel, and pot holes, etc, hurt less.

He does seem to be describing the consequences of stiffer springs and dampers, perhaps he is confused with what bit has done what?
I removed the OEM front strut brace on my EK4 when doing some work, and snapped a stud in the process, I never got round to replacing it. On the road, on the track, on an autocross, it didn't matter what I was doing, it didn't make a bit of difference.
OP, I am afraid you are fabricating all this stuff in your head. There is absolutely no way that a shitty eBay bar with all the structural integrity of a Fray Bentos tin would do anything to the handling in any kind of meaningful manner, certainly not to the point of lifting a wheel.

You surely will be missed OP.

This reminds me of a lad I knew once who fitted some massive brakes to his Citreon Saxo and swore blind they were so powerful he could get the rear wheels 3ft off the ground...
LOL reminds me of a video i saw where i think some dude bought a subaru and was purposely driving as fast as he could and slamming on the brakes...the suspension was so bad the rear would lift off the ground and make the whole thing bounce around like it was on bags.
Strut bars don't affect ride quality, period. They wont making hitting bumps feel any different.
Simply put, you're full of ****.
So OP, everyone is wrong and you, with your extremely limited experience and extensive Ebay hardware, is the only one that is correct? Okay. I teach middle school kids with the same mentality. Sad part about it is that they grow out of it.
Next post will be something along the lines of "I removed my front driver's side tire and the car's handling improved 1,000 percent on the road! My 1st impression."

Hate to say it all boiled down to inexperience. Strut bars don't affect a car the way you have described as everyone has mentioned. I appreciate the laugh from the other threads. Any half experienced driver knows to take it easy after making suspension adjustments.
