Engine Rebuild: Can't figure out where connector goes :(
Hello,
I finally re-installed my engine after rebuild, but there is one connector I can't figure out where it connects. It comes from the wire bundle that goes from passenger side, to driver side, then turns under engine and connects to things like knock sensor, power steering, etc... Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
SnoopyMan.

What year? that grey one with the three pin's reminds me of the same little ****** i had problems with. if its the same one, to plugs into the crank position sensor.
Theres always a possibility of it being for an accessory that is not fitted to your car, for example cruise control?! Just a thought...

My experience is that the main engine harness varies car to car depending on the accessories originally outfitted from the factory on the vehicle

An easy way is to never force it. (that's what she said) just set it out the way it bends naturally and majority of the time it will lead you to where you need to go

92 civic ex 4dr,
CPS is already hooked up, so it's not that.... the car is a 1998 Honda Accord LX, 4cyl Auto. As far as the natural bend.... it's very floppy and could go anywhere within a 1' radius. I need to stick a mirror up there and see if there is anything against the firewall or behind stuff... with the engine in it's difficult to see... it could be hiding!
I looked in the service manual, as well as the electrical one, and it's not apparent what it goes to or is used for; three or four plugs branch off of that location and I can't determine clearly which one it is. It only has three possible pins, so may I can limit the possibilities down by using the schematics.

Found it, it was the IAC (Idle Air Control Valve) sensor. Behind the intake manifold, next to throttle body.... about 1 foot away from branch. duh!
