Default 93 dx 1.5 crank nose damage

I'm new to the site and would appreciate any input regarding my 1993 civic dx 1.5. The crank pulley wallered out, key was gone, I replaced with new pulley and new key same problem. Crank nose keyway is now damaged and chipped. Can it be repaired or just replace crank? Dollars are a major issue also. Thanks in advance

I'm not sure if it's the best idea due to longevity, but it may be possible to have a welding shop weld the cranks nose up and then machine it back to stock. That's going to be the cheapest and fastest fix. Otherwise you are looking at a new crank and all that that brings... basically a lower engine rebuild in the car.

This was actually a common problem on early Miatas. Do a google search on Miata small nose crank repairs.
