95 Civic Dx Automatic Intermitent start
I own a 95 civic dx 1.5L that wasnt getting fuel at times when I tried to start it. I replaced the master relay and the fuel pump because the fuel pump wasnt turning on when the key was engaged. I thought the problem was fixed but it started doing the same thing all over again. Seems to start fine when it is very cold outside, but when it rains or starts to get warmer it will just turn over but not start. I also do not hear the fuel pump turn on when the key is turned to start. Could it be the ignition switch or ECU? I hope someone has seen this problem before. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I'm having similar issues with a 94 Civic DX. Had replaced main relay, distributor, cap & rotor, nothing helped. The car eventually would never start. I got information from this other thread on here, see link below. I replaced fuses 31 and 24, fuse 31 15A is in the engine bay fuse box and is for the ECU. I replaced the ECU today.
The car began OK about a week ago, due to the cooler weather and lack of humidity. I am in FL. I'm going to have to wait for a good rain before I know for sure if the new ECU helped. The good thing is that a used ECU on fleabay is about $60, and isn't that difficult to install. Also, if your vehicle is older than 1998 you don't need the dealer to reprogram the computer like on newer vehicles.

*Update 2/8/13 It rained last night and my car started fine this morning. The ECU install was the answer.
