2001 Accord cranks but will not start, please help!
My 2001 Accord suddenly will not start. We are on vacation and supposed to be driving home today but can't find the problem. It cranks but never starts. I checked the fuel pump which seems to be working, and it has spark. I sprayed starter fluid in the intake and still won't start. I also tried resetting the computer on the off chance that the immobilizer was the problem but no luck. I have run out of ideas. Anyone have any suggestions?
I tried all the basics (i.e. plugs, cap and rotor, wires) related to spark which leads me to think its a fuel issue. It seems like I have fuel pressure at least up to the fuel rail. How would I check the ignition control module?
Take one of your plugs out, put the plug wire back on and ground the bottom of the plug to the block or valve cover while someone turns the car over with the starter. You should see and hear the plug firing. If not you might have a bad coil.
Well I just got the obd codes, and they translate as follows: misfire, fuel, ccm, cad. conv., evap, o2, htr, egr. The guy that ran the test didn't give me the specific codes so thats what I have to work with. And I checked all the plug wires, they all are getting spark.
