Icon2 02 accord h23a temp guage problems

so ive been trying to figure this problem out and i have no idea of how to solve it. first off the my specs: 02 accord ex, h23a vtec swap
so basically heres the problem ive just wired up the temp gauge and the single wire ect sensor and it takes like 30 secs or so once i turn it on but the gauge just shoots all the way hot. i do know that on the f23 engine the gauge was controlled by the ecu and on h22 the single wire ect controls the gauge.

and to everyone that has helped me so far with other issues and this thank you, i very much appreciate it.

If I remember right you will need a pre 2000 cluster (98-99 ) for this to work.

Ok what about just swapping over the temp gauge motor would that work or even just adding resistors in the wire to make the signal right?
