alright first off im new to this forum hi guys, and sorry if i post this in the wrong area still learning this forum but ok heres my question i just recently got a 93 eg hatch with a b18b1 swap in it and its obd1 so i was wondering i want to get a beefier motor like the c5 or c1 but just trying to figure out if i can use the wire harness on my ls on the vtec engine i know ill need a vtec ecu just curious on the whole wire harness stuff but say i get the engine and it comes with an wire harness on new engine will connect to the one i have on it now thats connected to my ls anything will help and thanks guys

 

It will mostly work but there are some connections you will need to make yourself. I don't remember them off the top of my head but VTEC solenoid and knock sensor come to mind. It's been discussed many times though so searching may give you the answers you need. As far as I am aware it is pretty rare for people to swap harnesses when they swap VTEC engines into LSs, given the cost and difficulty of doing so.

Yep just wire up vtec sensor, vtec pressure switch, knock sensor, and Iacv. I'm doin the same engine swap in my eg too just more of a stroker gsr
