Default Suspension Help?!

I just swapped out some ebay coilovers that were on my EF sedan with GC's. When swapping over the OEM top mounts with all the OEM hardware I did not have enough thread to get the top mount nut on. I tried without the washers and the shock just goes through the upper mount so that doesnt work. I ended up leaving out a bushing.

Anyone have any experience with this? I tried to follow this diagram (link below) and install all the same washers and bushings but again, did not leave enough room to thread the bolt.

What shocks are you using? Are they the same as the ones you used with the ebay set?

If you're using the same shocks that you used with the coilovers from ebay, nothing should have changed as far as the shock and top mount.

Got a pic? I think that the shock stroke is too short to reach.

Do you have the spring seats turned up or are they down low?

i cant imagine this scenario with GC kit.

usually youd have the opposite.

what is the length of the spring?

do you know how to read the numbers? if not, just tell us the numbers printed.
