I need help .I brought a 1997 civic hx coupe I has a y7 in it .and he said the o2 sensor needs to be replaced .which he lied .but I cleaned the iac out and it runs alright a little low rpm around 500-600 rpm idle .but the iac is a 2 wire .should it be a 2 wire .did he switch the motor out and not change the plugs he needed .it has p1509 and p0135 .I need some help.what should I do .
The ECU is located behind the plastic front passenger kick panel. The ECU will have an ID label on it. Post a picture or the ECU code.

p0135 is for a bad primary O2 sensor....(front one)
P1509 is for IACV malfunction...
What intake manifold is on the car...? A stock Y7 with the filter on the manifold?
What ECU do you have?

Before you do anything, you need to show us the manifold...
And the IACV on a Y7 is auto/manual specific.....
Purple Denso sticker = Auto...
Blue Denso sticker = Manual...
Wiring it will require you to install a pin out in the empty slot on the ECU plug..
FFsquad has the diagrams and pinout locations...
It won't be that hard...
But first...PICS.

no.
I'm led to believe from your description that the original owner used a replacment Y7 head/block and used the HX intake/exhaust manifolds and used the Y7 ECU...
Just a guess..

Whether its OBD version, a revision, or drive specific, All IAC's for 96-2000 aren't the same on the Y7 from dealing with some idle issues on my 97.....
I tried one from an auto, and it was sending the rpm to fuel cut..
I noticed, some are spring loaded... Some are not...
No visual difference other than that sticker..
