Which wastegate....tial, precision, or turbosmart???
Looking for a wastegate flanged for a 38mm. Is any one any better than the other? Turbosmart seems to only come with a 7psi spring which is wayyy too little....so i dont like that i will have to spend extra money on springs with it.
Yes i did a search and didnt find what i was looking for.

You didnt look hard enough. What exactly are you looking for that you didnt find?
Just cough up the money and get a tial wastegate. They have been proven to work time after time.

Go with Tail or Turbosmart. Both are considered of equal quality so it'll come down to maybe even which one you think looks nicer?
Tial is my preference.

Our 38mm gate (UltraGate) is available 3-26PSI, actually. There are some key differences, and I'd be happy to go over them with you, but in an attempt to not violate forum rules - feel free to call me any time at 909-476-2570.

Oh i was just talking to a friend who has the same manifold as mine and is running a turbosmart 38mm. He said he sometimes experiences minor boost creep. He said he should have gone with a 44mm. I wonder if it may be the boost controller causing the creep not the wg. He is running a pte5857 as high as 30psi and i will be running something similar in size but not quite as high of psi. I will be at <25psi until i build the block then i will likely turn it up or upgrade to a larger turbo

I've seen the cyclic test... precision failed quickly and early. Turbosmart and TiAL performed well. I normally run TiAL

Are you recommending them??? Lol.
Anyone want to give there $.02 on synapse among this group???
So they are that bad?? I have never read any debates on the issue so i thought i would bring it up. I just want what most everyone wants....the best product for the application. And as for 38mm gates...they all roughly cost the same....i mean 240-270 is about what i found. The price difference between any one if them is not the issue. The quality of the product is. Now if i were to find a genuine tial for 100 less than anything else that would probably make my mind up for me...or vice versa with the turbosmart. But i really want to know what to definitely stay away from.
it seems as if everyone as stated that they prefer the tial. im going to have to agree. i have always used tials. never had one fail.
