I know a buddy put k series pistons and I think even the rods in an f motor. Maybe that'll help a little lol.

With the stock H22 FRM sleeves you need FRM friendly pistons. K24 pistons and K20/24 rods will not work in an H22.

H23 internals will work in some H22 blocks if you are looking for larger stroke. Only the 50mm main H22s though. It won't work in the newer 55mm main H22's.

If I'm not mistaken. The H23 & F23 mains are 55mm and not 50mm. So it will work with only 55mm main H22's

The H23A1 non-vtec engine has 50 MM mains, and the H23A VTEC has 55 mm mains, so depending on which block you have, there is a 95 mm stroke option with a factory crank.

Why would you want to tear down an H23A VTEC to put the internals into an H22 block though? There would be no gains. Unless you just happen to have an H23A VTEC crank laying around.

Only reason I can come up with is to use the crank in a block that has already been sleeved for forged pistons.... But pretty sure most people would prefer a closed deck block for that kind of use, even with the 50 mm mains. I know I would!
