No start after sitting for 3-4 months
I thought my engine was blown again, so I let my car sit for about 3-4 months before I started the tear down. I started it up and thought the sound was from the top end, instead of my original thought which was rod knock. I pulled off the spark plug covers and saw that one of my spark plugs was not seated.
I tightened the spark plug back down and started it up. No problems, the sound was gone. It ran fine... for about 1 minute. Then all the sudden, it sputtered and died.
I'm thinking bad gas. I pulled the plugs and they smelled more like paint thinner than gas. Car just cranks and cranks. Gas level is just above the E. Also had a battery charger connected the whole time, not sure if that would be a problem.
Any ideas? I'm going to try some starter fluid in the TB when I get home tonight.

Well, since you said your gas smells paint thinner i'd say your problem would be, bad gas..lol.
Although I've had a car sit up for a year and a half with a quarter tank of 93 and it ran.
check your spark, make sure its good, also are you getting 3 clicks from the main relay?

I went ahead and got some starter fluid on my lunch break and no luck at all. I pulled the plugs and they were soaked in gas. I had my girlfriend turn over the engine while I checked for spark, nothing. No Spark. I checked for power at the distributor, 13.5V. The ECU reads no codes, no monitors set. I'm going to read up on "no spark" articles and see what I can check. I guess it's possible the distributor went bad after sitting for so long.

Easiest way to isolate is borrow a distributor from someone. I just always have a spare one around cuz I'm not smart enough to test things properly like FCM lol

Fixed! :D So happy to have my car back again! It was the distributor or parts in it. I borrowed my friends dizzy and it fired right up.
Thanks for all the advice and help! Especially FCM, who's posts are always technically accurate and full of good troubleshooting procedures!
