"The World Has and Never Will Require 4ws" Rywire/Bisimoto/HybridRacing
I owe it to one of my favorite magazines to provide some of the biggest motivation on my current build thread.

Haven't really ventured much on this site since high school but I figured I can give it another go.
My name is Ryan; born, raised, middle of no-where South Dakota. Not a common place, but this is not a common build. I always chuckle at other chassis being labeled uncommon now here is why.
My 1991 Honda Prelude SI 4WS
I purchased this car back when I was a measly 15 years old, at the time all I wanted was a 5-speed Honda. This one fit the bill, red, 5-speed, hell it had an exhaust on it even. At 15 this was my definition of cool.
It didn't take to long for my father, a fellow car fanatic, and I to realize what we had accidentally stumbled upon.
Stole this car for $1600, the night we brought it home

She cleaned up very well. At this time paint was all original.

Had very little rust, which is a rare find in itself in this area

At the time, unfortunately, it was my only car. Daily driving for a winter soon ensued

Ended up getting t-boned by a motorcycle that ran a stop sign on a residential street. Time for some body work.

I'll be the first to admit this paint is not perfect and is currently the paint you will see on the car today, I will have it re-done at some point in the near future.
During the paint progress I added GSR "Fat Fives" and Tokico Blues and Eibach Springs. Loved that set up

Started to show the car a little more

Eventually I got smart enough to buy a daily driver. Still have this one as well. 2000 Accord EX 5-Speed.

Wasn't really doing much with the car after the paint, wheels and suspension. There really wasn't anything I could easily do with this chassis so it stayed untouched. Theeeeen we figured out what Import Alliance was...

Drove the 16 hours from South Dakota to the 5th annual summer meet in Nashville

had a blast, found the motivation to really do something with the car. Got home and two weeks later she looked like this.

At the time I was going to boost the bastard b, but a deal on another prelude that happened to need a motor I happened to have...

Thing had a mint interior which was promptly taken for my car.

Motor in, shortly buttoned up, I was away at college and drove this for a month or two until it sold.

With the motor now unknown, I got a new idea for the bay.

It was soon off to a buddies shop while I was away to get worked on.

Car made its way back to my garage for finishing work

Eventually I finished it up. I don't think I will ever shave a bay again...

Back on the trailer

Stripped down for the booth

Big props to my friend Preston and his father for everything they did on this bay during the weekend

Rust Protection layer

First of three layers of primer

Sanded and new seam sealer applied

Color laid down, no clear

The rest of the process went super quick, got her back home that night, 4 coats of color and 8 coats of clear...

Very happy with the end result.
Been collecting quite a few parts along the way as well.
Went to the last Import Alliance at Nashville Super Speedway.

3 cars from South Dakota that year

Ended up purchasing an F20b from zerolift.

Bisimoto will be helping with the exhaust flow

Lightweight flywheel from bisi as well. Exedy stage two clutch.

Going to be running an RBC on this motor, picked up a Spoon Throttle Body

I love that more and more of these builds are popping up! I really like this gen of prelude and I wish more people would build them. Great work so far!

Ryan the car looks great man, never seen a 3rd gen built anywhere aropund me this is definitely a nice change to see. Keep up the good work.
However, I will be replacing tie rods all the way around here when the new suspension goes on. Other than that no issues.
Thank man!
