What would you do if you paid for this tune? ( pics of maps inside)
To make a long story short a paid a local shop(MPG Automotive Performance) to tune my civic.
http://www.mpgap.com/about/
It ended up over heating and blowing off coolant hoses during the tune( which i thought was a headgasket issue. I pull the head off at home and find this:

#4 was the worst cylinder by far.
This motor NEVER saw boost untill it hit their dyno.
We could not get Neptune going at first( I later found out I forgot about the Anti-theft) So the tuner said let me try something else. he starts tuning with the free version of Crome.
He made 409whp on this map:
High cam Ignition:

High Cam Fuel:

I went back a few weeks later for a retune on more boost.
Made 456whp
High cam Ignition:

High Cam Fuel:

Now that im stuck witha F'ed up engine with less than 1k miles on it, I started texting the owner of the shop and told him what Laskey said it would cost to fix it. But now he isnt messaging me back. I signed No waiver of any kind whatso ever before getting on their dyno.

It's obvious that the tuner didn't know what they were doing simply by looking at the screen shots you posted.
You really should have spent the extra time & money and taken the car to some one who had a much better reputation.

Yeah I actually spoke you you not too long ago about rates ect... You wanted me to go with S300 incase i wanted to go COP in the future. This was just a convinience factor. They werent even a mile down the road from where I live. I have $550 invested in the 2 tunes they did and a trashed engine.
At this point i dont think there is much you can do besides build another motor and go to a reputable tuner. I know it s not what you want to hear but it is the most honest answer you are gonna get i can promise u that. As previously stated, just by looking at your fuel and igniton tables its obvious your "tuner" was a little off on finding what your motor liked, with out totally bashing him. Just curious, and not that it really makes a bit of difference, but was this on pump gas??? Either way that sure seems like a **** load of timing all throughout that high cam map.

I tried tuning the car myself on neptune but i couldnt make the power he did... NOW I see why, I was running 11 degrees of timing vs his 26...
Here are my neptune maps:
Which do you guys think did the damage?
My maps or his?
Keep in mind I AM a beginner, i was working my way up slow.

I could not find their name on the BBB (accredited business) list for Jacksonville Florida
On another note, the second time I went in the shop I was going to "rent" the dyno and start using neptune my self.
I could not make the power they did with me using neptune by myself. Posted above is how far I got with neptune.
I switched back to Crome( their map) I didnt know at the time that it was as messed up as it was because I didnt know what I know now.... if that makes sense. So I switch back to there crome map and start adding fuel for the 4 psi increase in boost and it blew a coolant hose off.( from detonation, pressure buidup) BUT I was using THEIR ORIGINAL MAP!!!! Then the tuner shows up to help me out and he "tunes" what i posted above as the 14 psi map.... Then it made 456whp on 14psi with his tune... A few days later the car starts overheating and this is where I am now.....
Therefore the shop is blaming me.... The first day I brought it there it was building up pressure and leaking coolant on the Original 10 psi tune.... That should have been a dead giveaway.

You get what you pay for and $500 for two tunes is dirt cheap. It is about 350-450 for a single street tune.
was the timing synced with a timing light before the tune? could be that it needed that much timing on the map because of improper sync. ultimately it looks like way too much timing!
Not trying to side with them or anything but you failed to mention that when it blew up YOU were the one tuning the car. I understand you used their original map in chrome but if they didnt tune for 14 psi or the 4psi increase you are talking about, then maybe you should have looked at your timing table before you started turning up the boost and adding fuel? Not to say that it was a good tune but if they werent in the 14psi cell during your recent tune and the motor held together after the first time they tuned it, i can "kind of" see where they are coming from. Either way, now you know to start off much more conservative in your timing table. Sucks how it all went down but if you were the one on the dyno and tuning the car, you arent going to get **** out of them as far as fixing your motor, wether it is right or wrong its just the reality of it. Honestly as a business owner, i dont think i would either if you were the one tuning the car,no matter what the circumstances were. If you felt comfortable enough to tune the car and admit that you are a beginner than you must have felt comfortable enough with the fact that u might pop your motor?

looks like two different tuners did the high cam ignition. such drastic difference and nothing flows like a speed density system should. just because you're at the 19 psi column that doesnt not mean the isn't using the column before and after. its pretty obvious this tuner is either inexperienced or ignorant to how speed density works.....or both.
Yeah, if you wanted to get a good tune, should have gone to a Neptune Dealer. I believe a few of them in Florida are even posting in this thread.
Tuning is not hard but it does require experience and some understanding, its apparent that whoever made those maps (Crome screen shots) has ZERO idea on how motor works.

I made the neptune map myself. I paid for what you see in crome and I honestly believe that did the damage
