HELP!!! EF1 Hatch not starting_Walbro Fuel Pump does not stop Whining
Hi Everyone,
I have an 89 EF1 Hatch with a d15z7. My car is currently in restoration and has not been started for 3 weeks. I added a gallon of fuel in the tank and tried to start but in vain. The engine cranks but the Walbro fuel pump is whining non-stop as if it is not receiving any fuel. I added more gas in the tank but it is still not starting. Can anyone help? I'd feel pretty crappy if the fuel pump is shot. Please note that my dash has been removed in order to find any rust.
Cheers,
cleo7

Check the fuel pump and main relays first. Next if you aren't getting the right amount of fuel pressure to the rails, try changing the fuel filter.
The pump should probably be your last resort.

Thnx. Will be checking the pump. The relay should be good cause the pump is operational. It is whining loudly
