idle fluctuates when fan comes on
hey everyone, my car has been sitting for a couple months without being started "I was out of state" I didnt have anybody to start it for me while I was gone. Well I got back today and it was pretty cold, about 15 degrees. I flipped my fuel pump kill switch so I could slowly crank the car over a few times to get some oil pumping through it. and of course the battery is almost dead. I try jump starting it, it takes a few tries but eventually it got started. I let it run for a long time. I drove it for probably about an hour to get the battery charged. Well I parked it, a few hours later I go to start it, and the battery felt weak. After it was running for a while I noticed my idle was fluctuating. i thought i had a vacuum leak or something. I noticed whenever the radiator fan would kick on, the idle would go up to about 1150 and then back to 900, over and over. does this sound like my battery is bad? or my alternator? or something else
My car is a crx with a turbo b20b. I am still using a crx battery for this bigger crv engine. The battery is probably amost 4 years old now.

I would clean your IACV and go from there. It really helps to have compressed air to dry it out. I say this because I cleaned mine but had moisture in it after cleaning and that made the idle worse.
I would say it is possible you battery not holding a full charge could be causing a issue with the dizzy not getting good voltage.
Start with IACV since it is practically free to clean and report back

Take your battery and alternator to part store and get checked out!!! It does sound like the added draw of the fan being on could be just enough to to reduce the voltage the dizzy needs. That make me think the problem is your charging system and not your battery.
