Default Graf's '87 Civic aka. "Browntop-Hatch"

I just want to intoduce my little build-up and restoration project: My '87 Honda Civic Hatchback.

Originaly it's an EDM carbed 1.3 with 71hp - but things changed a bit since I bought it back in 2009.

Here some pictures as I bought it.

During that time I've done some bodywork and a few modifications.
What's allready changed:

Exterior:
- Bosch yellow foglights (same as the OEM Access. fogs from Japan)
- JDM cornerlights
- '84-'85 CRX Spoiler lip
- Si hubcaps
- OEM rear mud guards
- '86-'87 Civic Si rear light panel
- FOHA rear wing (OEM Access. in Germany)
- Hella 3rd brake light
- USDM tail lights
- keyless fuel door

Interior:
- Honda DOHC steering wheel
- adjustable steering rack
- heating control from USDM Civic Si
- amber clock
- lighted ashtray
- lighted cigarette lighter
- OEM fog light switch
- white rear view mirror
- blue center console
- OEM fire extingwisher
- fitting floormats
- gauge cluster from '86-'87 EDM CRX
- OEM rear speaker setup
- chrome inner doorhandles
- Prelude shift ****
- Prelude cigarette lighter
- OEM arm rest
- A/C setup
- leather shift boot

Audio:
- oldschool Blaupunkt audio setup with 10-disc disc-changer

Suspension:
- Koni Sport dampers (yellow, adjustable)
- Eibach Pro springs
- fitted front and rear axle from '86-'87 EDM CRX
- Energy Suspension master kit
- ST suspension anti-sway bar kit

Brakes:
- brake booster and master cylinder from '86-'87 EDM CRX
- brake calipers from 1g Acura Integra
- Zimmermann drilled brake rotors
- Hawk Performance HPS Street brake pads
- HEL Perfomance ss brakelines

Engine:
- swapped to ZC1 "Browntop" (from '86-'87 EDM CRX; 1.6i 16V DOHC; 125hp)
- K&N air filter mat
- MSD 8,5mm ignition wires

Exhaust:
- TeZet 4-1 header
- Stock system from '86-'87 EDM CRX
- Prelude exhaust deflectors

There are still a few parts I'm currenty wating for, like the hood and the horn button from the JDM Civic Si.

My planes for the nearer future:
- Wiechers aluminium strut bar
- cf spoiler lip
- new paint (B31M Astral blue)

Will keep you updated

Awesome Car! I have the same model, except mine is an 84' I have the same carb engine... a few questions for ya...

How did you redo the wiring for converting carb to Fuel injection?

The picture you have that's second down form the second set of pictues with the spoiler, that's the 84'-85' crx spoiler?

Thanks for your time and i will be uploading a few pictures of my hatch when i get a chance.

I used the full wiring from the donor car (a '86 CRX 1.6i 16V).

That isn't a CRX spoiler, it's an european Civic spoiler made by FoHa. It's pritty rare...

So you completely trashed what ever harness was with the carbed engine and just used the whole harnes.. Hmm.. I might have to try that.. i am actually trying to throw in a D or B series motor in mine so i am trying to gather as much information as i can before i get started (trying to eliminate as many headaches as i can)

Thanks again!

Hi, I bought a 87 hatch at the end of last year. What can you tell me about the emblems? Mine aren't there. Are they actually printed on the inside of the glass?
Any idea on how to replace them? I was able to snag a old si badge online the other day and want to get the rest taken care of. I've searched online and cant find a thing.
