need to have good handling by saturday... what should i get?
I was offered by some guys to join them at some road corse (not auto cross, but an actual road corse race). My teg is pretty quick and i jsut replaced the clutch and flywheel... i have i/h/c/e and pullies with a full ignition.. i know this will help me on the straights, but what im concerned about is my integra handles the turns. I know the best thing i could do is take all the unneccessary **** outa my car (which im going to do) but what else should i get to improve my handeling that won't put me WAY out of budget. I have H&R Springs, Front upper strut bar, 16" slipstreams with 215/45 falken azenis...
thanks,
Ryan

i dont suggest going to the track on a "new to you" suspension...
Which track are you going to, Firebird?
second that.
It took me a couple of days to get the hang of my swaybar.
You have to get a feel for how hard you can push the car, and how much throttle lift will cause oversteer at what throttle levels.

Edited post...just realized he was talking about doing track event, not autox.
Sorry!

See above retraction - I was thinking autox, not track.
While a 13x8 or so wheel is nice for autox, it's not really helpful for track events.
I'll shut up now.

y would u want a 13" wheel for better handling ...
You'd have to find a wide 13" wheel and tire.
Did you make sure your camber adjustments are right after the new supension and wheels. Sometimes larger wheels reduce your tires contact patch if your supension is not adjusted right. Makes the tires look like this --- / \. They will wear funny too.
I agree with everyone else... don't do anything to drastic. Plus your don't really want to your shake down during a race situation. Change the oil, bleed the brakes and drive hard!!
