I've been looking around online and some forums and can't really find an answer on how to add a trunk release button to my 93 sol. 93 is the only year they didnt have the button to release the trunk from inside the cabin. So does anyone know how i could go about adding a trunk release system? or if there's any how-to's?

go to the junk yard and find a civic that has it and take the latch in the trunk the cable and the whole assembly in the car


should just fit but im not sure about the mounting is the same but look

Well i would get one that would be functional. And to open my trunk without having to take the keys out or something like that.

 

you can purchase aftermarket trunk pop kits. most come with wiring diagrams. then u can wire the switch to inside the cabin or directly to an aftermarket alarm with a button on the remote for trunk pop.

 

Which would be better to go with? stock one out of junkyard? or aftermarket kit?

 

id go with aftermarket seeing my stock one dont work at all even though the cable probably just stretched



but junkyard parts are cheap along with all those with all those extra 10 an 12mm bolts that alway seem to be in short supply
