Default Going to get yelled at!

I have rolled fenders, The car came that way, I think that I am going to put some pretty beefy 17's on it. I have to go through discount tire because I have a friend that works there and I save alot. I am sick of black on black (my em1 is black) I was thinking gun metal / hyper black / dark silver. Suggestions? Other than DONT PUT 17's on you jackass! lol, I already know I am going to lose MPG's and speed.

Will be getting Yellow JDM fogs soon. Then Looking for smoked projector HIDS and Smoked tail lights then Tints will be the last thing done.

Please dont ruin your SI..... Keep it 15 or 16. 17 is too much.
You wont lose noticeable mpg or speed but you will later dislike going with 17s.... Or you wont.
Id go for a gunmetal or polished 16" wheel.
What kind of wheels are you looking at?

OMG 17'S ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND?!

But seriously, I've seen coupes with 17" and depending on the wheel design it can actually look great. BBS style wheels with a smaller heart and shorter spokes always look one inch smaller than what they really are imo, so a 17" BBS RS f.e. would look like 16" on your car because of the short spokes.

But any other style wheel I'd go for 16", definately not 15" because that doesn't fit the size of the car most of the time.

He said tints.

Don't do 17's my friend. Two good reasons, it will slow your car down a lot and tires are too expensive. Stay 15"... there are plenty of options out there if you want to be different.

haha you guys are to funny! I knew that would stir up some WTF!!!! I won't put 17's on it. It would look retarded. like I mentioned right below 16's is the highest I will go I just have to find a wheel I like. Hell right now to be honest 15's would be just fine as well. It fits the car. 17's would look like every other SI I usually see rolling through carpentersville. I think I am going to go a gun metal something or other.

Also I wouldn't tint the windows either if I didn't have a girlfriend who gets insane headaches. My car is about the worse place ever to be in to begin with when she gets one as is. The sun light makes her super sick. We have already had to pull over a couple times so she could barf all over 90. lol

oh and the ONLY reason I say 16's is if you look @ how my car sits now I think that it would flush it out just right without being all nasty looking.

I am not sure really, So far the ones that stand out to me are

http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/int...6063&rc=ILCINT

I think I like the weapons (gunmetal) the most.

I think 16" is going to be my sweet spot, It will flush it out without looking all over sized. I just mentioned 17's to troll my own thread for a second and watch everyone talk about RIP EM1! lol... Cmon now the car looks the way it does for a reason, The one thing that you could find on my car that is RICE is the eyelids, People have mixed opinions on them. I got them on with the lines straight and made the headlights look less gaudy and to be honest am really happy with them. I feel like it makes the front end look more clean. I have had multiple people like EWWWW eyelids!!?? and then they actually see the car and they are like damn actually that looks really clean!

But yes everyone I was ******* around I am not putting 17's on my civic. I should put that I was going to stagger them as well! lol......

I do like these drag DR-33's as well (Charcoal grey). I will make up my mind by when they open and I place my order.

oh in all seriousness on this though what tire size would you guys run?

185/55-16
195/50-16
205/45-16
205/50-16
215/45-16

Part of the fun for driving for me is getting in and out of corners. Suggestions on size?

205/45/16 and 205/50/16 are the most favorable sizes.
what's the other wheel you liked other than Drag Dr33s?

I want like a dark grey / Charcoal / Gun metal. I am burnt out on black on black. I want them to have just a little pop but still follow the dark theme of the car. Like I said discount tire is the only site I can buy wheels from with a discounted price because a friend manages one.

Oh ****, it does work for me, now i see it lol.
Both of them have similar styles, so it's all up to you.
Personally, i'd get the MB Weapons.
MB weapons:

Drag DR33
couldn't find any, lol

About black wheels, here's what i mentioned in another thread, hope it makes sense to you:

Again my opinion, just a kids thoughts. For example this:

but with silver, or white it can stand out on stock brakes, like this:

Of course, you're running Rotas, and throwing on decals would be a huge no-no to most genuine-JDM-OEM-YO tight-asses out there.

Assuming that picture is exactly of your CRX, it'd look amazing paint-matched to your car. You have a nice amount of black and silver, with those black moldings, the black lower side of the car and the rest of the body silver, it balances out with a silver wheel and the tires blackness. If you paint those slipstreams to the same color as the car, it'd be a perfect blend in my honest opinion. DO IT! But make sure it's done right! I'd grab a set of steelies or other wheels and run them for a week while I carefully paint the slipstreams. Most of the quality is in the prep-work. There are many DIY tuts out on the internet for some nice quality wheel-painting,

And here's a pic of sort-of paint matching slipstreams on a CRX.

you 110% sold me on the weapons. Actually seeing them on the cars looks beautiful. They seem to fit the car with a tuner / oem look. good looking out! Thank you!!! and yea I had black wheels on my WRX and my G35 and TBSS, and they looked great in the day time but at night I would look outside and all I would see is something that resembled Steelies lol

Good luck man, keep your EM1 clean! I don't want to be making a bandwagon or ricey suggestion, but **** what people think. Because the wheels bolt-face is pretty concaved and nice lugnuts can really 'pop', i'd throw some neochrome lugnuts , maybe match it up with ARP extended studs on those wheels too.

When it comes to tires, you want quality. I don't know much about tires, but Falken's are mediocre from what I hear. Also, you'll need new lugnuts for the new wheels because stock Civic lugnuts are different.
Wheels are shoes, and tires are soles. You want to spend more where it's most important; this is what I find the definition of rice to be. Cheap Form > Function.

I was going off of those tires just based on reviews... I really am not to sure about tires myself but I want a good all around "performance" all season.

Hankook ventus evo v12 are good tires for the money. And 205/45 is the perfect size for 16"
