Doesn't DC Sports offer a cold air extension? If not sell it and get a three inch AEM and modify it to fit.

my friend and i made a AEM cold air intake for his del sol, works great. used a 2.5inch piping, because he's on a d16 and a 3 inch piping would gaive the engine too much air to combus.
3inch for dohc, 2.5inch sohc

we bought a U-Bent piping from JC Whitney for 25 bucks, K&N Cold Air filter 20 bucks, and intake works great.

we got instructions from teamdelsol.com
their web site is dead, but good think google caches site content
