I have been told of many different good brands for pistons but i want some more opinions. i have an ls block and i am going to put high compression pistons but i am not sure if i want 11 to 1 of if i want 12 to 1 compression ratio and what brand to get so can i please get some opinions

 

More details on goals for the build would be helpful. What else is going to be done to need the 12:1 compression?

Do you have a budget? I can list several pistons for you but how do I know if you can afford it...

I personally would get a slightly larger oem piston...81.5mm p30 in a ls does quite well with a larger cams

 

i am going to fully build the block and most of the head but it is going to be a daily driver and take it to the strip sometimes and just toy around with it but i dont want to spend over $700 for the pistons

 

I like cp pistons. I have them in my ls turbo setup wit eagle rods, haven't failed me yet. And I've seen a lot of racers use weisco too. The cp i bought were like $400 with rings and wrist pins and pins. Those would be the best two choices since a lot of import racers use them that's my opinion though.
