Just bought a xentech hid kit and I have to remove the reflector because the hid bulb has its own has anyone done this yet...if so please let me know how you did it because I'm like getting aggravated with this please help

 

Bake open your headlights, separate the headlight lens from the housing, and there's a single screw that holds it in.

Go to HIDPlanet.com. The forums there should have a DIY for you

 

Yep the only way to remove it is taking the headlight apart. You can unscrew the shield from the back side of the headlight without taking it apart, but you cant pull it out.

 

Do I have to do it to install a xentech hid kit I'm having real trouble with this I've seen the DIY videos but the stock reflector is in the way for it to lock

 

ive never had an hid kit that needed me to remove the reflector... all my h4 bulbs was pnp... but you can use a heatgun and open it otherwise if needed..

 

Oh okay cause the clip thing that holds up the light is really hard to close when the hid light is in....how do I fix that.?

I never heard to remove the reflector either :/
im not sure if i understand correctly?
-Are you saying the clip that holds the hid bulb doesnt close/hook properly?
-The HID bulb hits the reflector?

1- Maybe wrong H? Bulb for your headlight? Should be H4? For stock/oem styleheadlight. H1? for projectors headlights. ( sorry cant remember.) Check the box or make sure from the person you bought it.
-cause for HID bulb to hit reflector?

For clip not closing propely.
Make sure its not damage or bent and closes properly without bulb. (if it helps to clarify the clip for the bulb works)
Then...
2- Try turning the hid bulb. The bulb only sits properly one way when the three prongz are in the right slots so it fits properly so the clip will close easier.
