Default HyTech CARB legal, stepped, extra long hybrid 4-2-1 with anti-reversion chambers (stainless steel)

I have been told that this is a good header but what will it do for my 01 Type-R?

Serious, there's a dyno of it on this very page.

CARB approval is pending catalytic converter approval, the car's emission numbers are great.

Yeah my car was at zero for HC at 15mph and only 0.01% at 25mph. CO and NOx I believe registered at less than half the average for new cars.

how did that compare to the Carsound cat you had before? I'm running on a Carsound 94006 now.

The Carsound was never tested, John only tested his own system so he could continue with CARB approval for the new Renault cat. But I believe the Carsound did fine as well since John originally planned CARB approval on his systems which included the Carsounds.

The CARB guys told him that the Carsound cat wasn't a 100,000 mile cat and would most likely lose it's effectiveness within a few thousand miles, whereas the Renault is an OEM cat and would be a 100,000 mile cat...

cliff notes: Carsound known to go bad, Renault OEM cat built to last
