I'm not sure if my 2003 Civic LX had a keyless entry when the original owners bought the car but I do know that they did buy an aftermarket alarm. Before I bought the car they told me they removed the alarm (don't remember why) and gave it to me in a bag with all the wiring etc.

Recently my driver side keyhole was tampered with, my guess is that someone tried to pick my lock to steal my car? Long story short. I always have to unlock the passenger door and climb in to unlock the driver side door. I would like to install the original keyless entry system (like I said before not sure if it even had one)

Could someone shed some light on how to go about doing so or point me in the right direction?

Without a keyless entry receiver unit, you're not going to get far. Also, I suggest replacing the broken lock cylinder in the driver's door.
